I had thought about running a race that is run in the caves later this month but i was a little late getting around to sign up and didn't think i would be quick enough to snatch up the 20 spots they were opening up on Wednesday so i signed up for a half marathon. I don't feel like i am trained well for a half-marathon. I have only done one 10 miler since my marathon the beginning of December so i will use this as a training run. I will be running the Topeka to Auburn half marathon on the 21st. It is supposed to be a hilly and challenging course from what i hear and cold weather could be a factor too...hopefully it will warm up a little since we have had pretty mild January weather so far!
I have to say this run is really intimidating me and i am worried even though i am not going for any personal best on this one. Finishing decently will make me happy!
So signing up for the first race down...11 more to go (but i'm hoping for more than 11, don't tell my husband since he has to fund all of these!)
Thanks for following my new blog, Power of Run! It looks like we have a lot in common. I am planning to run a lot of the same races you are this year. I'm doing my third full marathon in May--and my last marathon finishing time was close to yours. I was injured a lot last year, so I ran about 780 miles, but was slightly over 1000 the year before. Nice to virtually meet you! -Kim
